A face and neck lift at Contour Aesthetic Center in Upland, CA, will leave you with a smooth, fresh look that can take years off of your appearance. Technically known as rhytidectomy, it is a surgical procedure used to smooth the loose skin on your face and neck, and to reduce the most apparent signs of aging in the facial area. It can improve wrinkles around the mouth, a slacking jaw line, and sagging jowls. Additionally, Dr. Heidari can remove fat deposits around the neck and tighten underlying muscles in the face and neck. Facial fat restoration is often performed along with face and neck lift via facial fat transfer through micro-cannula. This procedure adds necessary volume in the upper cheeks and around the mouth for a more rejuvenated appearance.
- Face and neck skin has begun to sag, but skin has elasticity and bone structure is strong and well-defined
- Loss of a well-defined jaw line
- Deep wrinkles in the cheeks
- Loose skin, wrinkles or excess fatty tissue in the neck
Dr. Heidari performs a face-lift by making an incision around the natural contour of the ear and around your earlobe along your hairline. This helps keep any scarring hidden. The skin is then tightened and redraped. If a neck-lift is performed, you may have a small incision under your chin.
Dr. Heidari can also compliment the face and neck lift with the latest techniques in laser skin resurfacing. This unique surgery/laser combination addresses all of the problems of aging skin such as lack of tone, large pores, skin discoloration and skin and deep tissue laxity. Together, these techniques provide the most comprehensive rejuvenating result.
During a face-lift, complications are infrequent and usually minor. However, individuals vary significantly in anatomy, physical reactions and healing abilities, meaning outcomes are never 100% predictable. Some complications that may arise include hematoma (blood under the skin that must be removed), injury to the nerves that control facial muscles (usually temporary), infection, and adverse reactions to anesthesia. If you smoke, you should talk to Dr. Heidari about other alternative because you are more likely to experience complications. If for some reason you experience a complication, Dr. Heidari and the staff at Contour Aesthetic Center are here to help correct it and care for you every step of the way.
